Based in Lugano, Massimo Maccan has over twenty-five years of experience in wealth management, with a focus on wealth planning and fiduciary management across leading institutions. Formerly Managing Director at LGT Bank and CEO of Julius Baer Fiduciaria, he has advised UHNW families and entrepreneurs on cross-border structuring, tax optimization, succession planning including the set up and management of Private Equity Fund. His expertise spans private banking, governance, and strategic business development. Massimo holds a degree Economics from Università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia and a master from Università Bocconi.
Based between Mallorca and Luxembourg, Angelo D’Auria brings over two decades of international experience in family office management, proprietary trading, and large-scale infrastructure development. He serves as Managing Director for Anchora Spain and Director of a multi-jurisdictional family office in Luxembourg, overseeing global investments and portfolio governance. Previously, he co-founded BG LLP London, a proprietary trading firm specializing in algorithmic strategies. Earlier in his career, Angelo held senior management roles at RENCO S.p.A., leading operations and real estate projects across Russia, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe. He holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi and a degree in Petroleum Geology from Università di Urbino.
Based between Monte Carlo and Zurich, Massimo Paganin serves as Board Member of Financial Strategy SAM and brings extensive experience in private banking and wealth management. Formerly a Managing Director at LGT Bank and previously with Bank Julius Baer, he led client coverage across Italy, the UK, and Scandinavia. He now co-leads Financial Strategy’s investment office, focusing on bespoke investment structuring, asset allocation, and cross-border advisory for HNW and UHNW families, while also advising Anchora on these areas. Massimo holds a degree in Economics and Finance from Università Bocconi, is a CWMA, and a CAIA Level I charter holder.
Seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing and scaling companies at the pinnacle of motorsports, including formula 1 teams.
Based in Lugano, Stefano Braito brings over three years of experience in strategy consulting, with a strong focus on investment management and operational transformation within the investment fund industry. He is a former Senior Consultant at Deloitte Luxembourg, where he advised a broad range of stakeholders across the investment funds ecosystem, spanning both traditional and alternative assets, on strategic initiatives, target operating model design, and complex operational challenges. Stefano holds a Master’s degree in Management from Università Bocconi and a Master’s degree in International Business from HEC Montréal.
Based in London, Ian Axe brings over two decades of leadership experience across global capital markets, market infrastructure, and financial technology. Formerly Group CEO of LCH and CEO of Panmure Gordon & Co, he has also held senior managing director roles at Barclays Investment Bank — including COO EMEA and Global Head of Operations — and COO at ABSA Capital in Johannesburg. He is the founder of WSL (formerly Axe Capital ACi), a Principle Investment and Advisory firm active in FinTech and has served in multiple Senior Advisor roles, including several major PE houses, consultancies and investment funds. Ian was also the co-founder of IPSX, the world’s first regulated stock exchange dedicated to commercial real estate. Currently Ian is Senior Advisor with one of the fastest growing AI Customer Intelligence Companies, a DLT Capital insurance . At Anchora, Ian advises on capital markets, financial infrastructure, and the integration of emerging technologies, bringing a global perspective and a track record of leading complex institutions through transformation.
